Frequently Asked Questions for SEO

Welcome to US SEO Services FAQ’s!
These are questions that people usually ask me about SEO and my services. None of these answers are cookie-cutter responses. They are all personally answered by me. If you don’t see a question here that you’re asking yourself, then feel free to let me know so that I can give you an answer. If you’re asking, then it’s likely someone else is too – and who knows! It may get added on.
1. Why should I do SEO for my business?
SEO has come a long way. Back in the day, it was all about getting online, then it was about keywords, keyword stuffing, and ranking higher than your competitors to get more traffic. The idea was simple—get seen, get more leads, get more customer
But SEO today? It’s a lot more than just ranking high. It’s about credibility, trust, and value. It’s about how your business shows up online and how people perceive you before they even contact you.
Let’s talk about the mindset of the people searching these days. They’re not just looking for a product or service; they’re asking themselves, “Can I trust this business? Does this company align with what I value? Are they the kind of people I want to do business with?” Your online presence—whether it’s your website, reviews, social media, or even how you respond to questions—acts as a kind of testimony to what you offer. It tells people, “This is the quality of service you can expect. This is who we are.”
Before they even reach out, your potential customers are already making decisions about whether to trust you. They want to know your reputation. They want to know if you’re the real deal. SEO today is about presenting a credible and authentic version of your business—showing your audience that you care about your product, your service, and their experience with you. It’s not just about getting found; it’s about making sure that when they find you, they know you’re the right choice.
At its core, SEO is now about building relationships with your audience. It’s not just about bringing in more leads—it’s about making sure the leads you get trust you, value you, and ultimately choose you over someone else.
2. How much does SEO cost?
SEO pricing can vary greatly depending on your goals, the speed of growth you’re looking for, and the level of service you need. Many SEO companies offer rigid pricing plans that lock you into long contracts or charge you more than you’re comfortable with, often without delivering the results you’re hoping for.
At US SEO Services, I believe in giving you choice and flexibility. That’s why I offer transparent and straightforward pricing so you can pick the plan that best fits your needs and budget. Whether you’re just starting to invest in SEO or you’re looking for a long-term, high-level strategy, I’m here to meet you where you are. I want to make sure you get the best value for your investment.
Now, many SEO companies might seem like a “one-size-fits-all” service, and while they may offer lower prices upfront, that often means you’re not getting the attention or results you deserve. I’m different—I truly care about your success, and I want to help you grow, not just sell you a package. My approach is personalized to your business because I believe that when you grow, I grow too.
3. Why is this worth the ROI?
SEO isn’t an expense—it’s an investment. When done right, SEO creates lasting, sustainable growth that benefits your business far beyond just rankings. It brings qualified traffic, builds trust, and generates leads that turn into real customers. The ROI comes from knowing your online presence is working to convert visitors into loyal buyers and advocates for your brand
Unlike cheaper, short-term solutions that might leave you with poor results and wasted time, my goal is to deliver results that pay for themselves. I take the time to understand your business, craft a strategy that fits your unique needs, and stay with you through every step of the process. I’m here for the long haul, and your success is my success.

4. Why should I do SEO and not just run ads?
Running ads is like renting a spot on the internet—you’re paying for visibility, but it’s temporary and comes with a recurring cost. SEO, on the other hand, is like owning that spot. The money you invest in SEO gives you more long-term value because you’re building an organic presence that keeps working for you over time, unlike ads that require continuous spending to maintain visibility.
These days, running ads can take just as long and often more money than SEO to get results. In fact, if your SEO isn’t strong, your ads won’t be as effective either. Google takes everything into account—your organic SEO, content quality, user experience—when determining where to show your ads. Without strong SEO, you’re essentially throwing money at ads that don’t have the backing of a solid foundation.
It all comes down to mindset. Ads might seem like a quick fix, but they can easily turn into a money pit if you don’t have a good SEO strategy in place. If you have the budget, they’ll run your ads, but if they think you can’t afford it, they’ll squeeze as much as they can out of your budget until you give up. Plus, ads are now called “sponsored,” which creates a disconnect because people don’t pay attention to whether an ad is “sponsored by” or “paid for by” someone—they care about results.
The whole point of running an ad is to make it work and drive business, not to feel like you’re doing something just because you’re supposed to. Work smarter, not harder, by focusing on SEO to get lasting results and reduce reliance on paid ads.
5. How long does it take to see results from SEO?
So why does it take time? Google processes billions of websites, so your website needs to find its place in the search rankings. The more information you give Google—through keywords, quality content, and backlinks—the better it can understand your business and rank you accordingly. The more work we do, the more Google can trust you and place you where you need to be.
Here’s a rough timeline based on the plan you choose:
- Basic SEO: 6-9 months to reach page 1
- Advanced SEO: 4-6 months to reach page 1
- Ultimate SEO: 3-5 months to reach page 1
- Beast SEO: 2-4 months to reach page 1
The timeline can vary depending on where your website currently stands. For example, if you’re starting from scratch, it could take up to a year. As a rule of thumb, if you’re on page 3 now, expect around 3 months to get to page 1.
Why is this a good investment?
SEO isn’t just about immediate results; it’s about building long-lasting authority for your brand. While ads stop working the moment you stop paying, SEO continues to deliver traffic and growth over time—growing your business without the need for constant ad spend.
6. What exactly do you do each month for SEO?
At US SEO Services, we focus on what will drive results for your business—each month is tailored to meet your specific needs and goals. Here’s an overview of what I do:
- Keyword Research & Strategy
Each month, we get together for a Zoom call where we dive into keyword research. We’ll choose a new keyword to target for the month, ensuring it aligns with your business goals and what will get the best results. We’ll also update and review the overall strategy, progress, and growth. - Creating Optimized Pages
Once the keyword is selected, I create new pages on the backend of your website targeting that specific keyword. Depending on the plan you choose, I’ll create a different number of pages each month. - Social Fortress for Signals
For each keyword and page, I build a social fortress. This includes creating social signals that tell Google exactly what your website should rank for, giving your site a boost in visibility. - Backlink Outreach
I leverage my private network of trusted, high-authority websites to secure backlinks that help your site gain more credibility and authority. Quality backlinks are key to improving your site’s ranking. - 301 Redirects
I also use 301 redirects with powerful, clean, and safe links I own to ensure that Google properly recognizes the changes and trusts the new pages I’ve created. - Reporting & Consultation
At the end of each month, I’ll send you a detailed email with the social fortress links, new pages, and any other updates. I’m also always available to chat or consult with you, 24/7, to answer questions and discuss any part of the process.
Tailored to Your Business
Every step is customized based on your business’s needs and what will move the needle the fastest. It’s a hands-on, proactive approach that keeps us aligned and focused on what matters most—growing your business.
Let me know if you ever have questions, want to dive deeper into the strategy, or need help—I’m always here for you!
7. Can you guarantee rankings?
Here’s the truth: no one can guarantee specific rankings—and anyone who promises that is not being honest with you. What I can guarantee is that I will work relentlessly to improve your visibility, drive more traffic, and increase conversions through ethical, cutting-edge strategies that are tailored to your business.
I don’t just do the work—I make sure it works. I care deeply about your business, your success, and the future you’re building. This isn’t just a job to me; it’s about forming a relationship with you, your business, and your family. I want to see you thrive, and that’s why I’m committed to going above and beyond to deliver results that truly matter.
Together, we’ll build something lasting that supports your growth and takes your business to new heights.
8. How do I know if SEO is working?
I believe you deserve more than some confusing report filled with jargon. That’s why on the first of every month, I personally send you an invite for a one-on-one Zoom session. We’ll sit down face-to-face, walk through your progress, review keyword rankings, traffic growth, and go over what’s changing in your business.
We also do fresh keyword research together so your strategy keeps evolving with your goals. I’m here to answer your questions, encourage you, and really get to know you—not just your website.
This isn’t a cold, hands-off service. I actually care about what you’re building and want you to feel confident about the direction we’re heading. You won’t be left guessing—you’ll see the progress, understand the strategy, and feel supported every step of the way.
9. Do I need a NEW website for SEO to work?
Very rarely – in fact most likely not. A lot of SEO companies push new websites just to hold you hostage—and I think that’s ridiculous. You should always be in control of your own website and your domain. That’s your business’s foundation, and you should never feel trapped or tied to someone else because of it.
I’ve helped clients grow on all kinds of platforms. As long as your site is functional, we can usually work with what you have. The only time I recommend a new site is if there’s something so technically broken or if you’re on a platform that severely limits what SEO can do. And even then—I’ll walk you through it honestly, without pressure.
If you don’t have a site yet, I can help you get a clean, simple one started—and depending on the scope, I usually don’t charge extra to do that. Because this isn’t about selling you something you don’t need. It’s about helping you get found, grow your business, and stay in control of your future.
10. What kind of businesses do you work with?
I work with businesses all across the U.S.—of all shapes and sizes. From local service pros like roofers, remodelers, and cleaners… to consultants, ecommerce brands, multi-location companies, and everything in between.
One of the things I genuinely love about this work is how many different industries I get to dive into. Over the last 20+ years, I’ve partnered with such a wide variety of businesses that I’ve become familiar with dozens of different industries—and for the ones I haven’t worked in yet? I’m always excited to learn. I find it fascinating.
So whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been doing this for decades, if you’re serious about growing online, I’m here for you—and I’ll bring real experience, genuine curiosity, and a personalized approach to help you succeed.
11. Can you help me if I tried SEO before and didn’t get results?
Yes—and you’re not alone. A lot of clients come to me after feeling burned or confused by past SEO experiences. They were promised the moon, handed vague reports, and left wondering what they were even paying for. I get it, and it frustrates me too.
Here’s what’s different about working with me:
I actually care about you and your business—like, truly. Not just the numbers or rankings. I care about your goals, your reputation, and how this impacts your family and your future. That level of commitment and heart shows up in the way I work, the way I communicate, and the results we build together.
I’ll take a close look at what was done before—what worked, what didn’t, and why. Then, I’ll lay out a clear, honest strategy to move forward with no smoke and mirrors. Just real talk, real work, and real care.
Because you don’t just need someone who gets SEO—you need someone who gets you.
12. What makes US SEO Services different?
I actually care—like, really care. Not just about SEO or results (though we get those too), but about you as a person. Your business, your family, your story—it matters to me. That’s not something you hear often in the SEO world, but it’s the truth.
This isn’t a churn-and-burn agency. I build relationships. I stay in touch. I invite you to Zoom every month so we can look at progress together, do keyword research side by side, and talk strategy face-to-face. And you’re not just a client on a list—you can reach out to me any time. If you’re having a rough day, I’ll listen. If you want someone to pray with, I will. If you’re celebrating a win, I’ll cheer you on. Because at the end of the day, my goal is to grow your business and our working friendship.
You deserve someone in your corner who’s not just paid to care—but actually does.
That’s what makes US SEO Services different.
And you’re welcome to test me on it.
13. Do you offer contracts or is it month-to-month?
No contracts here! I’ll never stick you in a long-term contract. All of my SEO plans are month-to-month, for as long as you’re happy with my services. You’re in control the whole time.
That said, just like we talked about before—SEO is a process. It takes time to build trust with Google and earn those higher rankings. So while you’re free to cancel anytime, I encourage clients to stick with it long enough to see the real momentum kick in.
Bottom line? You stay because it’s working and because you feel supported—not because you’re stuck. I’ll show up for you, work hard for you, and build something that lasts.
14. Should I stick with an SEO company or should I switch it up?
It’s common for business owners to feel like switching things up when results slow down or they get bored, but making frequent changes can hurt your SEO in the long run. SEO is a marathon, not a sprint. Consistency and trust in the strategy are key to seeing long-term, sustainable results. Every time you switch SEO companies, it resets the momentum and can set back your progress. Sticking with one trusted partner who understands your business and is invested in your success is crucial for long-term growth.
That said, if your current SEO company is not producing quality work, showing results, or you’re unsure about what’s going on with your strategy, then yes, it might be time to consider a change. Transparent communication and clear, measurable outcomes are essential in ensuring you’re on the right track.
15. Can I talk to someone before signing up?
Absolutely—and I make it easy. I offer friendly, no-pressure strategy calls and zooms where we can walk through your goals, answer your questions, and see if we’re a good fit. No hype. No pushy sales tactics. Just a real conversation, focused on you.
Whether you’re someone who wants to move fast and get this off your plate so you can get back to work—or you want someone to walk beside you, take time to explain things, and dig in—I’ve got you either way. I’ll meet you where you are.
You should feel clear, comfortable, and excited about this next step in your business, and I’m here to make sure of that. I won’t leave you hanging—I’m right here the whole time.
